This VC-10 was owned and used by famed Japanese percussionist and keyboardist Stomu Yamash'ta. Stomu recorded Go (1976) and Go Live In Paris (1977) with the legendary Steve Winwood (Spencer Davis Group, Traffic, Blind Faith, etc.) and Brother James, Al di Meola, Klaus Schulze, Michael Shrieve. 08:34 AM
Monty Python Moog Vocoder, on eBay
Someone finally snag'ed that Monty Python Vocoder this week on ebay for a mere £2,950.00. Not a bad price really (unless of course they payed in $USD...).
Funniest part of this is "MOOG VOCODER - as used on many Monty Python productions" to which I have no idea what they are on about, or which production it was used for, as I have never heard them use a vocoder ever. Somehow I imagine the "productions" to be several members stoned, talking with the pitch way up like munchkins.
